Kelsi Doscher’s ‘Internal Landscapes’ Photo Exhibition

- photo news

Fine Art Wellington photographer Kelsi Doscher  presents 'Internal Landscapes',  a photo exhibition opening at 5.30pm today, at Thistle Hall, on Cuba Street. Taken on 120 film using a Holga camera, 'Internal Landscapes' visually represents the blending of internal and external space, while exploring the beauty of natural and manmade landscapes in New Zealand.

On her blog, Kelsi Doscher states: I started working on this body of work in 2008 after purchasing a Holga camera to experiment with.  I wanted to simplify the photograph process and focus solely on subject and not technology.  And that is precisely what this little camera has given me.  The freedom of not being weighted down by camera gear, lights, lens, memory cards, etc. has allowed me to concentrate entirely on what I am seeing and the experience of being part of the landscape, and not separate from it.

I was honoured that Kelsi entrusted me with the high resolution drum scanning of her negatives as well as the wide format printing for her entire exhibition.

Internal Landscapes open at 5.30pm today and is on until September 25. Don't miss it!
