The full moon rises between two Pohutukawa trees (Metrosideros excelsa), Oriental Parade, Wellington, New Zealand.

Pohutukawas are endemic to New Zealand. This "New Zealand Christmas Tree" produces a bright red fluffy flower in the months of November to January. Pohutukawas are found mostly along the coast of the North Island of New Zealand.
