A polar bear roams on the floating ice, near the remains of a seal which it attacked and killed. In Svalbard, the life of arctic mammals life is a constant balancing act between survival, breeding and feeding. For polar bears, fat from ringed seals is the main staple. They will wait for long time near breathing holes in the ice or approach the ice edge stealthily before pouncing.
